@siracusa good news-HBO MAX has added test patterns to their streaming platform.

Get calabratin’

@imyke i think I can help your neo lust with one sentence:

You’re the perfect customer for the NEXT revision of the neo.

By then your air will be older, and maybe you buy a pro to replace it. Or a Mac mini. And then you have a spot for the Neo for home.

@jsnell oof. That’s embarrassing. all I need to do now is mix Lon Poole into my fading memory soup.

@jsnell oh well then my joke didn’t work.

I love David’s writing-insanely great is still a re-read for me on a pretty regular occasion. And I loved his time at MW back in the day. This book was already an instant buy, but I enjoyed your words about it.

@jsnell boy, good thing for him he held on to your email address (although the “work” one has changed in the intervening years)

@glennf @dmoren @Drwave I use a pair of LGs for work-I literally haul around 2 48” OLEDs-and they have never been online.

And oh the praise they get for image quality. From directors of photography (who are notably opinionated)

Comically my own tv is not an OLED. those live in the garage to go to set.

The Macbook Neo is $237 in 1989 dollars.
(The year the Macintosh portable came out. The price for that was $6,500)
And $250 in 1991 dollars (the year the PowerBook 100 came out. Original price $2300)

Cheap!

@gknauss eventually, yes!
@jsnell "Batman has become superman and robin has become batman" is just *chefs kiss*

@marcoarment you mentioned weird leg pain-I know you said also you knee but let me preach the gospel of not putting your wallet in your back pocket. For 4 years I’ve had aches in my leg that I thought was due to my very poor flexibility, especially during winter. But I started keeping my wallet in my front pocket and they have disappeared. The pain was in my thigh and calf.

Might help? 🤷🏼‍♂️
