I work as a specialist IT-analyst in the Swedish police force and I come across countless cases and court cases.

One thing that has truly struck me is that I see *so many* neurodivergent people, mostly men, getting into absolutely horrendous behaviours and the only thing separating them from me is that I've managed to keep my neurodivergence in check and not indulged in the darker impulses.

There's so little required to "let go" and become a horrible person.

If only these men had gotten the help they needed earlier, the support they needed as kids, maybe they wouldn't have made the choices later in life that they ended up making...

It's a sobering thought, tbh. And it instills gratefulness in me in the people around me. Those that helped me stay straight and true, gave me the help and support I needed to not falter.

It's a sad reality that the reasonable middle ground position attracts the far right like a neutron star, because they're desperate for even a hint in their direction.

I can't watch a Metatron video without getting absolutely overrun by right-wing nuttery in the comments.

It's also annoying because I know that things he say will become fuel for the alt right, so I find myself mentally bracing myself for things he say and how it will be taken as gospel by bigots.

I don't believe he is a racist or bigot. He has a brash tone and idolises a few questionable people (PragerU, Elon Musk) who have an outspoken bigoted view, but the things *he* says are usually well researched and largely reasonable.

It's just unfortunate he gets lumped in with the crazy alt-right and they flock to him because of it.

It's kind of like with the #ttrpg space where #osr people tend to be closet racists and misogynists. Not all of them, mind you, but every time I see "OSR", I instinctively breathe in sharply through my teeth.

Oof. As a hardcore supporter of WorldAnvil since it's very inception, it's a really, really rough wake-up call to realise just how customer-hostile they are when things aren't going smoothly.

I let my subscription lapse because I was leaving the platform. I intended to delete it eventually.

Now though? It's all set to private, and since you can't have private worlds as a freeman, I can't access them. Tells me to go to dashboard and set them to public.
