Someone who is not a designer or who doesn't know about fonts? I could easily have done that myself a few years back.

I would really love to see some numbers on how many people wiped their brow and went "pfew, that's over!" and are still supporting, using and promoting #WotC and #dnd.

How easy we forget...

CLASSIC corporate "Only YOU can stop climate change!" by shifting the blame onto individuals to "change their lifestyle" to save the climate, when individuals can do literally nothing about the massive ONSLAUGHT of corporate wastage.

US capitalistic propaganda wins again.

Last session may be the best one I've ever ran to date. Perfect tension, perfect timing, I was *on point* with descriptions and the combat was juuust right. Not too long, not grindy and ended with pure heroism and self-realisation from @2ndGenDM

For the last few months it's been a real life move. It's been taking all energy, but we're finally in the new house, living together again after 12 years of living separate.

But with all that going on, I haven't been able to work much on anything else. Otherwise, I am working on releasing CD10 in PDF form, as well as still playtesting second edition with a group of alpha testers :)

I genuinely miss the community. The people are great ❤️

@morgurth

It's a long othello and one I'm not really in the mood, or have the energy, to retell.

In short, the good will and good efforts of the creators/owners have either brought out the worst in them, or lead down a path of competitive anxiety, to the point where they're very hostile towards anyone not 100% in line with the company and they are mistreating several of their employees (making them work more than 100% for meager pay, not paying them AT ALL (volunteer work, in spite of being listed as employee)) and a general toxic work attitude.

There's so, so much more, but I prefer not to throw baseless accusations into the air.

I once considered the owners my personal friends, and I guess I still do. I just wish they didn't succumb to such toxic behaviour and I really hope they find a way out of it, because they're on the path to become the next Satine Phoenix at this point.

Same with play-by-post forum games. People have even bigger problems keeping enthusiasm up for those than in person games. The time span is just too long.

Seeing Worldanvil collapse into an evil corporation is not what I wanted to experience in my lifetime.

I used to consider the product, the people and the community as my home.

My home has become decrepit and ruined :(

I mourn for it. I loved it once.

@ArmouredWizard Fair enough. And as you say, it does sound very obvious as not doing this would limit the player's freedom, immersion and agency a lot.

So you're right, I'm probably "home blind" :)
