America is an irradiated wasteland. Within it lies a city. Outside the boundary walls, a desert. A cursed earth. Inside the walls, a cursed city, stretching from Boston to Washington D.C. An unbroken concrete landscape. 800 million people living in the ruin of the old world and the mega structures of the new one. Mega blocks. Mega highways. Mega City One. Convulsing. Choking. Breaking under its own weight.

My enduring memory of #Essaouiria #Morocco in July was a walk along the beach to the south, we passed a string of horses with their owner about a 100 yards away. My good lady pointed out a lady trying to get near one horse and I have this enduring memory of the horse taking one look at her and cantering off down the beach. When the woman left the horse trotted back to its owner. Who says animals are dumb eh??

Excited to find people I recognize migrating over here. Then notice that they’re trying to build the EXACT same platform/dialogue with followers and self-promotion that they had over there. Without trying to understand the NEW PLACE where they are now and how it might/could be different. Zero growth, self-awareness, lost opportunities. I can understand why long time users might want to mute them.
