@RandomWriter SERIOUSLY. Seriously this! 26 years ago, my father hung up on me because “he wasn’t going to be made to feel guilty” (b/c he arranged my grandfather’s memorial for 2 weeks after I planned to visit with my newborn, 3 months away). Months of not talking to me later, he sent a Christmas box. I sent him a note saying “tell me what’s different or it stays at the bus depot”. Breaking the cycle isn’t easy, but it’s SO worth it.
The key, as one should expect in these early days, is to just bloody well wait.
22 November 1938 | A German Sinti girl, Anneliese Laubinger, was born in #Berlin.
She was registered in #Zigeunerlager (#Gypsy camp) at #Auschwitz II-Birkenau on 18 March 1943.
Camp no. Z-4617
She perished in the camp on 16 June 1943 at the age of 4.
