I’m an illustrator and occasional writer. My PhD was on the role of landscape and memory in the British cemeteries of #ww1. I’ve written and acted as a consultant on memorial architecture relating to the Great War and interwar pilgrimage.

My #illustrations focus on the small stories of individuals that happened in the expanse of the Great Wars. Currently you can see my illustrations in a new #exhibition at Talbot House in Poperinge, Belgium.

#introduction Second time lucky!

I'm a lecturer in the fields of #digital media & cultural #heritage (what a mix) at University of East Anglia, #Norwich, UK.

My area of expertise is around online communities of practice, the notion of expertise itself in digital media, and digital public #archaeology. I work on digital ethnographies & qualitative data drawn from the fields of #archaeology and #CulturalHeritage, as well as expert patient fora.

I love #dogs truly, madly, deeply. Send pics.

My listening over the last few days has been a return to this release from the Delphian label from last year. I wholeheartedly recommend you find it on whatever platform you listen to your music and immerse yourself in it.

Here is Coles’ grave in CWGC Crouy British Cemetery.

Second to last day working as a CWGC Guide. Today’s weather was certainly atmospheric (and freezing cold!)

This is Tom, my Great Grandma’s cousin who she grew up with. He died 24/10/1918 when he had just turned 19 in Flanders. I have some letters he wrote to Great Grandma and the last one where he said that he missed home and if he could he would walk there to see them all. His family were clay miners in Cornwall and had a fiancé called Olive
We shall remember them
