Przeczytałem właśnie o uprzejmych śpiących policjantach. Normalny garb na drodze i tak nieprzyjemnie podbija, nawet jak jechać przepisowo. Hiszpańczycy wykombinowali garby napełnione cieczą nienewtonowską. Najedziesz wolno – jest mięciutki. Jak zbyt szybko, twardnieje i wywala najeźdźcę na orbitę :)

I composed this symmetrical scene at St Paul's London Underground station, & then suddenly loads of people rushed to catch the train. It was only when I was editing at home that I noticed I had captured a hat man!

alt: same nest hole as above post. mama flicker pokes eir head out and looks around, occasionally making unheard noises with eir beak - it can be seen opening and closing but the camera mic wasn't good enough to pick up the quiet sound

@inherentlee Oh my gosh. A treasure tree! I got to see a flicker nest last year, and it brought me so much joy. I think I walked that trail every day that summer, just in case I could spot them even after they'd moved on.

@handmade_ghost yeah i am feeling so lucky i found this one seemingly pretty early in their cycle? the babies aren't flying yet best i can tell.

@handmade_ghost also, they're loud, which generally means they haven't learned to stfu yet 😂
