Dwight SilvermanHead's up, Mastodon users: There appears to be a coordinated effort to impersonate relatively high-profile people who have accounts on various instances but who have not used them in a while.
I've gotten several follow notifications - and a couple of DMs - from impersonators of people I know. The bogus accounts have lots of underscores in the handles, and they repost items from the past, sometimes years old. If you spot this, please report, do not engage, and then block.

Tax the rich. They'll either pay their fair share in tax, or they'll leave and stop being a drain on the system. Both options are a win.
Celebrating a cross stitch finish. 160801 stitches on 28 count. Pattern is called Berry banquet. I'm going to research if there is a product I can treat this with soit can be framed like a stretched canvas instead of having to put it behind glass.

KimThis is the bit about AUKUS nobody talks about.
Phase one sees US nuclear powered and nuclear armed subs based in Australia. Partially crewed and supported by Australia but under US command.
The US nuclear armed subs get a strategic base on the Indian Ocean rim, which we pay to build and run, and we also pay the US on top of that to do it. It was meant to be a stop-gap until we got our own boats, but a deal this bad for Australia incentivises Trump to not supply them. And we even gave them a clause that lets them do that.
This is the worst deal in the history of deals. It's all sunk costs. Get out now and ask the French if we can restart the original deal as a co-project with Canada. #Aukus #Trump #Canada #Auspol
