It strikes me that "allies", particularly those as long-standing as the US and UK, wouldn't take our money without delivering what that money is buying.
Taking money without delivering the promised goods or services is "theft", and should be ample evidence that these "allies" are unworthy of our children's lives any more.
"As everyone outside the government and the shills of the defence lobby readily accepts, those timelines are anything but credible. Far from being a decision that will “reduce risk” and “enhance capability”, as Marles insists, it will increase the risk that the AUKUS debacle leaves us with no submarines while the Americans and the British take our money."
