He/Him. AI free since 2024. Your friendly local, mostly retired guy. Likes sciencey stuff, cars (especially the electric and/or heavily armoured kind), wandering around in the bush, mucking around with food. Ex electrician, cavalry soldier, salesman, business manager, consultant, public servant. Proud dad and step-dad. Eternally frustrated customer of https://scorpinc.solutions. Regrets the demise of flying boats. Opinions are my own and subject to change.

Here you can see the #Chalk #Cliffs at the coast. I suppose the most famous example of those is #Dover in #Kent but that’s not very far from here.

Why isn't 70k Palestinians dead as important as 15 Australia's dead I no longer understand the world we live in,please explain?

This misnamed article is a puff piece (mostly LLM generated I suspect) stanning AI. Somehow climate change, investment bubbles and the rise of techbro-facism is all going to quietly go away.

When AIs become consistently more capable than humans, life could change in strange ways. Here we look at how the era of artificial general intelligence might feel

I'm pretty comfortable with the idea of a 'she'll be right' theory of the universe

Perhaps the universe doesn't want to be governed by laws and is actually more of a 'rough enough is good enough' kind of place?

Still somewhat surprised at the number of centre-left people prepared to play the performing monkey in the X Nazi circus.
