Here's something that I just learned about in the most embarrassing way possible:

Did you know that if you join a Zoom meeting and leave your camera off, but then go into the preferences and start screwing around with their virtual avatar settings, it will turn your virtual camera on and broadcast all of it to the meeting?

Manager: Hey what was that thing you did with the 3D cat in the company all-hands?

Me: Holy fuck you could see that?!

When you create a post on here, you can choose its visibility setting. This controls who can see that post, with the most commonly used options being public, followers-only or mentions-only. There's a beginner's guide all about visibility settings at:

If you set your post's visibility to mentions-only (also called "Specific people" or "Direct" on some apps), it effectively means your post is a DM that just goes to the accounts you've mentioned in it.

I don't understand why Trump, a person who ostensibly believes the election was stolen while he was in the executive branch, has been running a traditional campaign telling supporters to vote.

If you believe the Democrats can steal elections, how does voting help? The last 4 years of campaigning should have just been him explaining how they're going to prevent another steal. Otherwise it doesn't matter who votes, right?

Men I don’t know have been yelling at me for about 24 hours about how I am promoting toxicity and misinformation and am a narcissist and a bully in replies to my short thread about how it would be super nice to have control over replies here. To give people who for some reason don’t find people yelling at them to be the highest form of online communication a way to participate in public life online.
