Mastodon… three initial thoughts
1. The original inhabitants are very hospitable. I worry we the bird app people are a pack of marauding tourists ruining their internet paradise. Apologies in advance.
2. Self selecting twitter refugees are a fine, diverse bunch. It’s an interesting social filter.
3. I’m looking forward to exploring interests that were just too damn hard to pursue on Twitter due to trolls, haters and such.

An example of #moderation: I got some hate from a troll tonight (from another instance), and judging by the report, he hit a number of other people on mastodon.social. Reported him, and he’s now blocked from all of mastodon.social. All those other people he hit didn’t have to report/block him one by one. Please, always report a bad actor before blocking them. Moderators here actually do their jobs.
