Y’all: I have been wrestling with kbin on the fedia.io instance, but I want to take a step back and give some perspective. Kbin is new, it’s growing crazy fast, and it really wasn’t in a place to support the migration from Reddit. Despite that, @ernest has been working his tail off knocking down issues and helpings instance admins.

You don't need multiple accounts on here. The servers talk to each other, so you can follow and interact with accounts from other servers too.

But, some people prefer multiple accounts for specific topics (e.g. work, personal, cookery, photos etc).

Also, some server types are suited to specific kinds of content. e.g., a @Mastodon account for discussion, a @peertube account for long videos, a @bookwyrm account for book reviews.
