While trump doesn't care about them, any normal person serving as President would recall that the US has had troops in Syria since 2015 helping the Kurds in an extremely successful program which defeated ISIS by helping the Kurd led SDF, and then brought peace to the millions of people living in Northeast Syria, (Rojava). #Syria
