My baby is at the "bottomless pit" stage of development, so now I'm struggling to make enough food for the both of us at any given moment. Doesn't help that we both get hangry. I stared at the frog as it sat on the sidewalk, wondering where on earth it had come from. The morning dew could hardly be enough motivation for it to travel so far from water. Then it let it a croak, and an answering chorus word from the nearby wood. More started to hop frantically from the tree line, and the ground started rumbling.
"Ah," I said. "The basilisk must have woken up early."
