Ok, this is kind of cool in a depressing way.

"These ‘warming stripe’ graphics are visual representations of the change in temperature as measured in each country, region or city over the past 100+ years. Each stripe or bar represents the temperature in that country, region or city averaged over a year. The stripes typically start around the year 1900 and finish in 2024, but for many countries, regions and cities the stripes start in the 19th century or sometimes even the 18th century. "

Here you can kind of see how a hummingbird’s wings don’t move in just an up-and-down plane but more of a figure 8. This was at 1/1250 shutter and there’s still blur. But surprisingly simple to photograph because of how stable they are at full speed hovering.

@Jgbird Just moving something back and forth is incredibly stressful on it and not very efficient. Insect wings move in circles too. Which is why Villneuve's take on the ornithopters in Dune was so stupid.
