If you're working from home, please try if you can to leave out a shallow bowl of water in the shade for birds and insects to use. In fact leave it overnight for the mammals as well if you're able.

Put some rocks/stones/sticks in the water too so little creatures can drink safely and climb out if they end up in it. It's a simple thing to do but does so much for wildlife (even if you're high up on a balcony!).

I'm struggling to become more like myself. So I was happy to read that Agatha Christie wrote:

"As life goes on, however, it becomes tiring to keep up the character you invented for yourself, and so you relapse into individuality and become more like yourself every day. This is sometimes disconcerting for those around you, but a great relief to the person concerned."
