In celebration of Black History Month, and in defiance of all the anti-diversity, anti-equity, anti-inclusion (along with ant-science, anti-community, anti-education etc.), efforts and policies that are spreading like wildfire, I would like share my favorite scifi author, Octavia Butler. In particular, Parable of the Sower 1993), which is one of those texts that takes you to the darkest depths of sadness and shows the true horror of human depravity and environmental collapse.

Some interesting research in National Bureau of Economic Research Generative AI usage/adoption among different age groups. What surprised me is how high is the percentage of people who reported using it every day (!) in the last week. That's only within a couple years of this tool becoming widely available.
