Made stuffed peppers in the Crock-Pot for dinner. They have turkey inside (instead of beef), with onions, green chile peppers, a little corn and low fat shredded cheese (as a binder instead of egg/bread crumbs), and are topped with salsa instead of sugary tomato sauce. I live in a very "red" small, rural town in a very "blue" small, otherwise suburban state. I went to #Vote today in "rural" autumnal gear, but also double masked. Here, we see loads of similar outdoorsy clothes, but not many masks. Each has become a sort of shorthand code for an outlook on life, and that's unfortunate. As our #Elections are feeling more divided, I'm reminded to focus on commonalities - we don't have to be one thing in the extreme. Hoping/working for better days ahead. #midterms
