Happy post-holiday, Coffee Pod!
What was meant to be a quiet week turned into a worky week (grrr) but I kept off social almost entirely, as per plan. It helps me recalibrate and refocus, and this year it helped me finalize the leaving of the birdsite.

Whew. Snapped that habit. One more bit of work to finish tomorrow and then taking off until the 3rd. LOVELY!

I hope you had a peaceful week, and the turn of the new year brings more peace and joy to your world.

Pulling into the parking lot on the first day of a new job, I noticed the dumpster had been tagged (in a gorgeous script font- well done, small kid on a bike tagging in daylight). I knew I was in the right place.
Fast forward to the white elephant party yesterday. One of the enterprising young staffers had the dumpster image made into a shower curtain. Of course I stole it; it was epic. Last night I hung it in my son’s bathroom- he’s coming home from college for break tomorrow. Can’t wait!

Good morning, Coffee Pod. Nespresso this morning to kick the week off. Added some cinnamon for a festive feel. It’s not terrible? Another busy which is weird because architects usually SLOW DOWN between November and January. Not this year. Johnny Catsch is healing so well from his dental surgery and I’m so pleased with the new vet. Big win!

Good morning Coffee Pod- taking the small gray boi for dental surgery today, it’s been a rough 24 hours for him. Loading up on nespresso but plan to swing by one of the coffee shops in the Heights to grab a really good cup while I wait. Send good thoughts for easy healing and a happy cat, please.

Good morning Coffee Pod, mainlining nespresso pods to stay warm!

Today kicks off the holiday prep: doing the make-ahead baked whipped potatoes (heaven), a cheesecake, and fresh cranberries with orange zest and Port. Brownies if I have the energy.

Kiddo comes home tonight. Dropped him off at college across the country in August and haven’t seen him since. Can’t wait!!

Good morning, Coffee Pod. Giant cup of French Press with warmed 2% milk and that’s how all days should begin, according to Junie.

Made 10 pounds of baked whipped potatoes for a company picnic last night and every bite was gone. I should have brought a defibrillator to the party as well…
