The National Library of Finland (my employer, part of the University of Helsinki) started a Mastodon instance at some.kansalliskirjasto.fi . There are two active accounts for services provided by the library: @Finto and @julkaisuarkistot .
This is an experiment; other services may follow. There is no "main" account for the library itself.
In parallel, the National Library has also created an account on Bluesky: @kansalliskirjasto.fi .
The National Library of Finland is providing hosted repository services for 50 Finnish organisations. Our clients include universities, universities of applied sciences, research institutes and other public sector organisations. The repositories currently provide access to more than 700.000 items, including books, reports, theses and scholarly articles.

Our services are based on the open source #DSpace platform: https://dspace.org/
Seven of the #RPG books I worked on were pirated by #Meta to train their #AI #Bullshit Regardless as to my feelings on copyright, the IP owner did not consent to their inclusion in the dataset. Meta's use is fundamentally immoral to the point that my own works will have an exclusion to their existing permissive licences to say "Fuck you and your idiot autocorrect" See if they've pirated your work here: https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2025/03/search-libgen-data-set/682094/
There is no space for racism in the EU. Or anywhere.
No one should be denied a job, home, or opportunity because of their race or ethnic background.
The EU stands united against racism, for a fairer Union where inclusion and equality are at the centre.
Today, on International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, and every day.
