Lots of state QSO parties today-
7th CallArea QSO Party, Indiana and Delaware QSO parties as well as the New England QSO Party.
This is a good way to work new states and counties, practice your contesting skills as well as test that new antenna or radio.
Was pleasantly surprised to see Patatas the cat make a return in tonight’s Taskmaster.
Finally got #WSJT speaking to my radio. With dummy load tried my first #FT8 (test). It’s transmitting. It’s now a matter of dialing everything in.

Back on the air thanks to a new USB cable and replacing a coax jumper.
Instead of contesting my day involved a little bread baking and a lot of RF troubleshooting which is still not resolved. This is going to call for more than just ferrite clamps.
I was hoping to get on air for the CQ WPX contest but haven’t had time until today to sort out an RF problem. Anything over 25 watts disconnects my logger from my radio. So I’ll be playing with ferrite clamps today.
I felt like a winner coming home with a bag full of pounds of coins.
I also felt like a loser. Went to deposit coins but bank was closed so I came home with same heavy bag of coins.
I set all my clocks ahead one hour and they thank me by not working after the electricity goes out this afternoon.
