I think it was almost 2 years ago when I first created an account here, then promptly did nothing with it. Now I have to relearn how this federated thing and the new app all work together.
Plus, I am on the look out for more geeky, funny, inspiring and educational people to follow. I love data (its all I work with), sci-fi shows/books, introverted humor, Apple (finally caved and switched from Windows to a MacBook), and reaffirming people’s rights to be who they are and love who they love.

It's the most connection I've made in an interview. Not only am I trans, like her son, I parented trans and gender nonconforming youth in the foster system.
We talked about hard stuff, including self injury, which both her son (recently) and I (as a teen) struggled with.
I hope you'll really like it.
Lots of discussion here of whether #Mastodon is fundamentally good or could become like the birdsite.
