When growing up, every time I went to my grandma's house for summer vacation, she would bombard me with her home remedies with whatever she felt needed curing with me. out of all her home remedies, this is the one I used to actually look forward to.
Rose Jelly is mild anti-oxidant and has cooling properties. which means a spoonful each day during summer months would help prevent heat related ailments like nosebleeds and dizzyness. it also is a good digestive aid.
Ofcourse it is sweet and therefore if you have problems with bloodsugar, this is not something you want to be chomping down.

Here is an easy recipe to make your own rose petal jelly. In India, especially in province of Maharashtra we call it Gulkand. It is best made with red or pink roses and fragrant ones.

Harvest from our little cherry tree. We harvest them before they fully ripen because my wife is mildly allergic to cherries and can only eat them before skin of the fruit fully darkens.

This is our newest acquisition, a rose called distant drums is thriving in a container. We needed it to be in container so that we can take it with us when we move.

We were forced out of our home for few hours ( nothing dramatic, our home is on sale and there were couple of showing requests that came in at the last minute ). So where would we go to kill couple of hours? Nearest garden center of course!
