Every time I saw a post asking for cat pictures, I made sure to sent picture of this furball. but this is her last picture I will ever have. we just came back after saying goodbye to her. For past few months she had been fighting inoperable cancer and sadly cancer won today.

And now it is my turn to ask for cat pictures. I really need them today. so could you please send some my way?

It's been weekend of gardening. In Canada it's traditionally start of gardening season. Got dozen or so bags of black earth from Rona yesterday, started working on replacement raised bed. Previous one has rotted and fell apart. We will be layering it with soil, grass clippings and chicken poop pellets. Then they will be ready for okra and green onions. And oh boy, would you look at that crab apple??

Went shopping today. Picked up bunch of annuals for hanging baskets, 5 spireas and most important acquisition was this woodland phlox called blue moon. It's super windy today so planting will wait till next week.

today was spent in doing backyard clean up, mowing the lawn, putting down fertilizer, taking down a swamp cedar that was leaning sideways precariously after heavy snow we had in the winter and resulting waterlogged back edge of the lot and ofcourse in realizing how badly out of shape I have become after winter. but it was good to see flowers everywhere. I am really looking forward to good weather.
