@apc, This Week I've been watching the 2nd season of Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary with its amazing cinematic style, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX which is interesting but fundamentally flawed.

But the show I'm super enjoying this season is:

Witch Watch

It's about a good natured, somewhat air-headed teenage witch finishing her training alongside her protectors. It's goofy, delightful, and has some fun bits of subtle yet nuanced animation here and there!

The Lycoris Recoil shorts continue to have some of the best comedic timing in all of #anime. Today's episode 5 made me think it wasn't going to do a twist, but then Takina instantly changed into a third set of clothes and misused her usual icy demeanor to threaten a foe. And even at an incredibly short 3:16, it was glorious.

It's been a while since we've seen this kind of reaction to a video game (perhaps not since "Breath of the Wild" in 2017): People are raving about "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33." Here's a @Flipboard Storyboard with a selection of reviews that focus on its emotional maturity, accessibility, artistic design and more, plus deep dives into how it got made. Tell us in the comments if you've played it and what you think.

Is 'Clair Obscur: Expedition 33' Already a Classic Video Game?

Sandfall Interactive, a small developer in France, worked for five years on this turn-based role-playing game, which came out in April. The reaction has been extraordinary. Here's how it got made, plus rave reviews. "Every time I go to write about it I find myself struggling to find that hook. Not because there's nothing good or interesting to write about, but because everything in 'Clair Obscur' is good and interesting," says Aftermath's Luke Plunkett.

Google app rebrand - Whatever you paid those designers, I would’ve done it for way less.

"Instead of using actual spray cans, some artists are just cleaning dirt off of certain areas to make their masterpieces and they are calling it reverse graffiti"

Tomorrow's topic is our 2nd seasonal "This Week"

Still not gonna touch Soundcloud ever again. Why is every invasion of privacy and uncompensated theft of artists material always opt-out?

SoundCloud says it isn’t using your music to train generative AI tools

SoundCloud’s terms of use give it permission to train AI with user content, but the company says it hasn’t done so and that if it does, it’ll let users opt out.

Founder of Zerebro token fakes his death, promotes new "legacy" coin

On May 4, 22-year-old Zerebro founder Jeffy Yu published a blog post introducing "legacoins" — a version of memecoins he said would be used to "define the legacy" of those who had died. Several days later, Yu's Twitter account announced that a "deadman's switch" had triggered the launch of his own "legacoin", $LLJEEFFY. Elsewhere, a video appeared to record Yu's suicide, and an obituary describing him as a "martyr of imagination and creativity" appeared on Legacy.com.It wasn't long, however, before people began to speculate that Yu had faked his death. Wonderland CEO Daniele Sestagalli published a letter he said he had privately received from Yu, where he confessed to faking his death and described it as his "only viable exit from persistent harassment, blackmail, and threats". Others noted that wallets belonging to Yu had been cashing out $ZEREBRO tokens priced at around $1.3 million.Reporters from the San Francisco Standard ultimately located Yu at his parents' house, where he was "agitated and shocked that he had been found after some routine internet searches", and "declined to talk about the false report of his death or how he may have benefited financially from it."
