A loud segment of #anime fans believe Aldnoah.Zero was ruined when mech pilot Inaho Kaizuka was not paired with the princess of Mars, Asseylum Vers Allusia. But to me, it made perfect sense. Politically and socially, these two were just too far apart.
My preferred ship?
Inaho and Rayet Areash, an average martian girl who was just as betrayed by Mars as its princess was. Over time, her need for revenge is blunted by Inaho's logic and the two became at least allies.
@apc #animangafoundit We missed these girls in the "siblings" topic a few weeks ago, but there's no way we can talk about Ship wars without mentioning the Quintuplets. No spoilers for the eventual end pairing, but it's safe to say that whoever Ueno ended up with, there would be hoards of angry, disappointed shippers for the other four sisters.

Maomao has convinced (read: frightened) Lady Lishu's taster to be more considerate of Lishu's food sensitivities, but palace society is still neglectful at best. Maomao tactfully nudges Lady Gyokuyou to offer something else.

Yachiyo is the "Acting Acting Manager" of the Gingarou Hotel, and their first guest in almost 100 years is, well, quite alien. Amidst their struggle to communicate with no common language, Yachiyo conducts a tea ceremony with their guest.
Does it work? The two certainly feel a connection amidst the peace of the ceremony. But it ends in quite a non-traditional fashion...
