Soooooo, thinking of trying to #migrate to a smaller server/instance, what do I need to do and know? #migration
How do I choose a new server and do any of you have any recommendations.
As a thought, does anyone know of a Discworld or a knitting based server/instance I could join?

I did not.
But now, now I will do the study!
Right.
This time I really am going to get some study done.
Stop laughing at the back, I really am!
Whenever I see someone who’s just mad about everything, and consequently completely negative about everything, I just think “must be so miserable being you my good dude” and then take myself out of their presence.
Feels so much healthier than gravitating towards them like I used to.
I have just discovered the filter function.
In your face people who don't CW with consideration. In. Your. Face.
I don't know if this is a me thing or an #ADHD thing, but some days I find it impossible to concentrate on what I'm supposed to be doing.
Someone suggested the #pomodoro technique to stay focused but today is a day that staying focused for even 25 mins is just too long to begin.
So now I'm going to start a #ReversePomodoro where I do 5 mins of study and 25mins of relax for a couple of hours as often this will bump start my brain out of #Procrastination and into work mode.

I know I've not been on #Mastodon long, but I am really enjoying it. It is giving me a joy I haven't had from social media in a damned long time.
It's odd, weird, confusing, welcoming and lovely - all things I aspire to be.
I may just be making this my online home
Another note for new #TwitterMigration folks like me: social norms here are that we don’t censor names like “Musk.” It shouldn’t be necessary, because full-text search isn’t really a thing and trolls are actually moderated.
If content is potentially offensive, put it behind a CW, but don’t “c*nsor” it because this breaks people’s filters (i.e., prevents them from being able to mute words).
