@X31Andy Curiosity drove me to watch the whole of this and I was repeatedly aghast. Horizon was known to be anything but robust in 1998-99. C4News this evening rightly turned the spotlight on Fujitsu but the last few minutes of this video suggest Post Office always knew.

More importantly, I fail to see how the conviction of *any* sub-postmaster/mistress using Horizon can now be regarded as safe.

@X31Andy This is evidence of astonishingly bad practice. In the same era this was ‘developed’ I worked with mission-critical software in a different field. Colleagues for a mess like this would not have lasted long.
I reckon Horizon can be classed as mission-critical though, in the light of Post Office persecution of sub-postmasters, perhaps safety-critical is more accurate.

@JanPV If more people read Private Eye, especially MPs, scandals like this might be dealt with sooner.
