@X31Andy This is evidence of astonishingly bad practice. In the same era this was ‘developed’ I worked with mission-critical software in a different field. Colleagues for a mess like this would not have lasted long.
I reckon Horizon can be classed as mission-critical though, in the light of Post Office persecution of sub-postmasters, perhaps safety-critical is more accurate.
@PeterHenderson well yes, a financial system which couldn't even produce a correct cash account let alone produce a complete audit trail/transaction log
@X31Andy I think the household accounts database I programmed using FileMaker Pro is more accurate and robust!
More importantly, I fail to see how the conviction of *any* sub-postmaster/mistress using Horizon can now be regarded as safe.
