James Fallows responds to Trump's statement about Robert Mueller's death β€” "Good. I'm glad he's dead":

"Any head of state who can say this in public about a countryman, even about a political adversary, is a moral monster."

One Man a Hero. One Man a Monster.

America has lost a very good man. It must find a way to control a very bad one.

"Whether Jane Doe #4’s trafficking and rape allegations against Donald Trump, Jeffrey Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxwell are ever proven or disproven is ultimately a matter for evidence, corroboration, and law. What cannot be denied is that her testimony exists, the FBI considered it important enough to document repeatedly, and details provided to the FBI and released in the Epstein files have now been corroborated."

The FBI Believed Her

David Shuster: the FBI found Jane Doe #4 credible, her story is corroborated β€” and the DOJ is still hiding 37 pages of her file.

Update. It turns out that the National Academies of Science (#NAS) did π—»π—Όπ˜ acquiesce in this #censorship of #climate science. In a short statement (March 11), it said that β€œThe manual, including the chapter on climate science, will continue to be available on the Academy’s website.”

PS: Bravo to the NAS. Although it's not part of the govt, about 85% of its funding comes from govt agencies, making it highly vulnerable to retaliatory defunding. It's the first agency I've seen with that level of vulnerability flatly reject a Trumpist demand to censor research.

EDIT. I meant to make this a threaded reply to my earlier post on the same subject, before we knew the NAS decision. But I inadvertently made it a separate post. Here's the earlier post (Feb 11, 2026).

National Academies of Sciences says no to demands it remove climate info

State attorneys general won't get climate chapter removed from a legal manual.

Here's one championship team Trump won't invite to the Oval Office.

He gave them the incentive they needed.

@heidilifeldman Heidi, I just want to you to your hard work in posting all that is appreciated. I read every word. What a train wreck. What a thrill to see such a smart and righteous judge.
HOULAHAN: Will you commit before the committee that the DoD will not deploy military personnel within sight of any polling places in November?

DoD OFFICIAL HUMIRE: I reserve decisions based on the president

HOULAHAN: But would you do that unlawful act?

HUMIRE: It would go through the same review process as every request we get from the White House

HOULAHAN: There's already a law

SpaceX's highly paid lawyers responded to the hundreds of comments and oppositions submitted to the FCC in one letter, that basically shows they didn't actually read our petitions to deny. And now we astronomers and dark sky advocates who are volunteering our time have to do a shitload more work to respond to their non-response. By Friday.

Fuck you, SpaceX.

You heard the man, Congress!
