Imperfect ally, but I'm trying my best. This is an LGBTQ+ safe space. Posts auto-delete after 90 days.

Proud resident the Twin Cities. Liberal Christian. Partner to a kick-ass woman who is smarter than me and has the PhD to prove it.

For money, I am a writer of all things #IaC as a #DevOps engineer, although I'm currently between jobs. #getFediHired

For my sanity, I'm also a fan of:

#dadjokes
#puns
#LEGO
#cycling
#pf2e
#boardgames
#urbanism and urban planning in general

I boost all corgis (then share them with my partner), the odd assortment of tech humor and terrible puns, posts from folks seeking employment, things relevant to MN or US current events (being careful to avoid a large degree of negativity), and the rare political hot take. I hope to provide a place where everyone can feel welcome, be comfortable being themselves, and smile after leaving.

I'm looking for my next role! I love working on the front of the front end, using component libraries and design systems. CSS makes me swoon, especially when paired with glorious, semantic, and accessible HTML.

Static site generators like 11ty are my jam, and I've worked with WordPress and Craft (with some Drupal long ago). My comments are often longer than my code because great documentation = awesome collaboration.

I've also been a web director, but now I'm focusing on senior+ dev or engineering manager positions. Send me a note and let's talk about it!

If we want to fix the economy, we need to legalize gambling for toddlers. Our focus groups found that the 12-36 months demographic is exceptionally talented at accumulating mass amounts of debt. We just need to give them the proper tools to do so.
@HopelessDemigod As a fellow serial procrastinator, it's a case of "I can't reasonably let the grass get any longer for fear of social consequences (read: side-eye from the neighbors), and it's going to be raining the next few days, so this is the only time I really have to do it in."

8 peppers, 3 cayenne, 3 habenero, 1 anaheim, and 1 kung pao.

2 rows of sugar snap peas
2 rows of green beans

1/2 row of green leaf lettuce
1/2 row of spinach
We'll plant the other halfs in about 3-4 weeks

Paris has transformed more than 300 streets outside schools into pedestrian-only “garden streets,” replacing traffic and parking with trees, benches and light-coloured paving. Researchers found the redesigned streets were on average 5°C cooler than nearby roads during summer heat. The projects, accelerated after the 2024 Olympics, are now reshaping school zones into permanent public health infrastructure focused on children, shade and cleaner air Torched https://www.torched.la/cool-streets/

Cool streets

Paris's school streets are effectively sculpting out instant parks in the locations where they'll provide immense public health benefits to the city's most vulnerable populations
