The answer is not “have you tried wearing noise canceling headphones”.

The answer is “don’t let extroverts decide on office policy and design”.

@Illdisposed @n8foo grab your callsign after testing (if the FCC doesn't run on us-east-1) and a radio, throw in a TNC from @Mobilinkd and you've got years of fun ahead!

Thom, W8TAM, has created a mod for the Kenwood TK-x90 radios to use Anderson Powerpole connectors directly for the power connection.

Kenwood TK-790 TK-890 TK-x90 Anderson Powerpole - Free 3D Print Model - MakerWorld

Download this free 3D print file designed by de_w8tam. I made this panel to replace the Kenwood factory power cord connector with a more common connector, Anderson Powerpole. There is a 1.75mm hole to retain the powerpole connector. A scrap of filament or any similarly sized object could be used to retain the connector. I used a pair of pliers to pull the multi-pin connector through until it clicks into place.  I printed this in PETG, but I may print more of them in ASA, or maybe even ASA-CF. Let me know what you choose.

If you are interested in PlutoSDR or any of its clones like the LibreSDR, there's an open source project by @f5oeo working to enhance the firmware for these Zynq/AD9363 based #SDR devices.

We now have TNC cables designed for the Yaesu FTM mobile radios. We also have a MiniDIN-6 adapter (CT-164 equivalent) and a MiniDIN-10 bare cable (CT-167 equivalent).

@vk3kri that is exactly how it is wired. Thank you! I've not seen that before.
@kurt it is sitting on the PCB of the PSU where I would expect to find a full bridge rectifier, between the AC input and the filter caps. There is a hole in the PCB for the shorted leg. I don't have a schematic. I'll keep digging.
Can someone explain why one would design a PSU to have a full bridge rectifier installed like this? The AC pins are purposely shorted. This was found in a TekPower switching power supply (two of them). #electronics

Have been working again on BLE support for APRSdroid and a new BLE config app for Mobilinkd TNC3/TNC4. BLE-only works well on Android. Trying to switch between Bluetooth Classic and BLE apps on Android is not a smooth experience.
