That’s essentially what Victor Lizarraga, RHP, San Diego Padres did in 2022.

When I originally wrote about Hayden Wesneski in October, 2021, he was a Yankeees pitching prospect in search of a rotation slot. 16 months, and one trade to the Cubs later, and he got his rotation slot all right.

Did pretty well with it too.

The attached chart shows his adjustment to Triple-A, and when you find out where he pitched, it will blow your mind how amazing those stats are.
