If I thought it was allowed, I would have asked the captain if we could sail the entire length of the bridge so I could capture its underbelly in all its glory.

It was a cold October evening and we took the last tour of the day. It was worth every layer of clothing I wore to stay warm.

Ruins of the Warden’s House on Alcatraz Island at Dusk.

With 3 floors and 17 rooms, the Warden's House was built in 1929. In 1970, a fire destroyed the building.

When you’re on a bench, camera in hand, things tend to unfold. As graceful as this shot looks, I couldn’t tell if they were mating, or fighting to the death. Monterey, CA.
Recently stumbled upon this hobby project. Decades ago I walked the San Francisco waterfront with my camera. That walk turned into this piece, an homage to the port.

In 2022 I was tasked with creating the poster for a fundraising event for the yet to be built Indigenous Peoples Cultural Arts Healing Center / Casa de Carnaval in San Francisco. The event was a gorgeous journey into Frida’s world. I genuinely enjoyed designing this piece.

Fast forward to December 2024 when I had the privilege of photographing the grand opening of the healing center. It was a remarkable magical day.

That time we drove the bumpiest road 3 hours to the very remote Racetrack Playa in Death Valley to see the Sailing Stones.

I walked quite a bit (the jeep is quite far in the background) and as I was photographing a stone, I looked up and caught an iridescent cloud. The only sound was the wind. (My business partner was far in another direction.) A truly sacred moment. I took a few photos, then stopped, sat and meditated.

The boardwalk at Badwater Basin, 282 feet below sea level. Death Valley, California.

I wish I had captured nearby Telescope Peak from this point; it hovers over two miles above.
