Outside a tent standing on top of the rubble of what used to be her home in Gaza City, Hiam Muqdad cooks pasta for her grandchildren, an attempt to give them a sense of normalcy after two years of war and forced displacement.
“The children’s dreams are gone. Their education is gone and forgotten. They even forgot how to play. In the past they used to go to the park but today children play on the rubble," says the 62-year-old grandmother.
Although a ceasefire officially came into effect in the war between Israel and Hamas on 10 October, Israel continued its attacks on Gaza, killing more than 100 Palestinians and aid agencies say Israel is still restricting the entry of aid into the strip."

N.227 #365project #poladroid #ruralphotography #abandonedplaces #roadtrip #ruins #decay The overwhelming feeling one gets when taking pics of abandoned buildings is heart-gripping, gut-wrenching. How ephemeral we are and we have no idea about it. The memories of those places have to be a treasure.
