So it's literally always at hand, so he always has tangible proof that he is Loved. And that fucking smile. IZZY SMILES.

And here's something else to think about.
In the glove, he's always going to feel it there. It's going to gently crinkle, and when he uses his hands, it's going to shift and rub against his skin. a literal constant reminder, of how his crew feels about him.
Izzy is never letting himself forget that one time the caring he feels was returned by the people he cared for.
