Good thing that the newest update fixed the crashing.
If you’re using #Duolingo, don't install the newest update! At least on iPhone it won't let you open the app at all after the update, it just shows you the start screen for a while before crashing. I learned this the hard way (luckily I also have it on my iPad and I didn't update the app on that yet, so my streak isn't threatened).
Content Warnings (CWs) are a way of hiding your post behind a warning message, so that people can choose whether they want to view it right now.
Sometimes CWs might be used for discussing potentially disturbing topics, but they are also useful for lighter things like avoiding film spoilers.

Okay, why is the #Spanish word for aquarium “acuario” and not “aguario”? Is this some Latin thing again?
I finished the first season of #LaCasaDePapel today, and immediately binged the first four episodes of season 2. So yes, it is a captivating show. Some of the more fast-paced dialogue still escapes my comprehension, especially if they use words I’m not familiar with, but I can still keep up with the main points well enough.
I tried watching #LaCasaDePapel with Spanish subtitles maybe a year ago, in order to learn Spanish better. I watched three episodes and I remember that I was struggling with following the story, because most of what was being said flew past me.
Today I binged six episodes while knitting at the same time and even when I didn’t understand all the words, I could still understand enough in order to casually watch it.
I also realised that I was actually understanding it instead of translating it.
I forgot to do my LingQ Spanish today, I realised it 5 minutes to midnight. I started watching a video, but it looks like it only counts reading the transcript as practice, or at least it didn’t register that I was practicing before I started reading the transcript after I had finished watching. I lost my 33 day streak.
So, I went to the app settings and changed my timezone, “travelling to the past” by one hour 😂 Watched another video after that and now I have a 34 day streak 😅
