Leiden Early Drug Discovery & Development (LED3) is a hub of scientists working on early drug discovery at the Leiden Institute of Chemistry, the Leiden Academic Centre for Drug Research, the Institute of Biology Leiden and the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science.

We celebrated our amazing, interdisciplinary early drug discovery community at the 3rd LED3 PhD/Postdoc symposium with more than 120 participants from all of our institutes, the Leiden University Medical Center, the Leiden Bio Science Park and beyond. (1/4)
We are very happy that Howard Hang from Scripps Research visited us today to give the keynote lecture at the 3rd LED3 PhD/Postdoc symposium. He talked about "Chemical dissection of microbiota mechanisms in health and disease".
We are very happy to get started with the 3rd LED3 PhD/Postdoc Symposium.
Our organizers, Daan van Valkengoed, Fabienne Sterk, Martijn van der Zwet and Annabelle Neri opened the symposium. We thank them for their amazing work on this event.
We then heard opening words from our Rector Magnificus, Sarah de Rijcke, and our Dean, Jasper Knoester, who both highlighted the importance of collaborative interactions and talent development.
We are looking forward to a full day of exciting science!
