Spoiler: I loved it.

I'm working through writing craft books each morning this year, and first up was Le Guin's Steering the Craft. I found the exercises on POV to be invaluable and appreciated that she didn't wave around formulaic story structure flags.
hey if anyone is looking to adopt an illustrator to work on their 2D games, concepts, books, ttrpgs, tattoos, whatever art medium you need (outside of 3D modelling) etc, my worksona is up for adoption.
please feed and house the goblin. i do not currently have enough work that pays me, and i am tired.

Issue 17 is live! This issue features five fabulous stories. They explore the morality of a shop that sells human remains to the rich, a deteriorating relationship with a faceless partner, a man with a rock growing from his forehead, mysterious eclipse mice, and a boy trying to save his brother from La Llorona.
Enjoy! And happy New Year! We love you.
Issue #16 is up! Read about a bailador who can't stop dancing; a woman watches her grandson chase love and the last chicken on earth; a man whose flatmate is a deceased Civil War soldier; a narrator from a world with four-winged tropical birds reflects on growing up with bright orange hair; and a man is mysteriously pulled into the Scrublands where he's forced to dig for groobs.
These stories are so good!
I was so into the Nebulas "Older Heroes and Protagonists" panel today. One of my favorite stories featuring an older protagonist is Leonora Carrington's The Hearing Trumpet.
Do you have a favorite story featuring an older protagonist? Do any of your stories have an older protagonist?
