I look at the black box that is algorithmic technology. I look at an obscenely wealthy tech bro class that controls a large majority of the algorithmic social media content online. I read articles about how TESCREAL is a cult that has infiltrated pretty much all of silicon valley. I watch guys like Musk and Zuckerberg openly embrace fascist ideology and a fascist regime. I hear them talking about a "clash of civilizations" on a burning planet and I just don't think it's "neutral."

my favourite snitch reply i saw to a tweet about disability benefits was "my neighbours claim disability benefit and all day they play playstation and smoke weed". like, first of all, snitchy snitchy curtain twitchy

but also: oh no, they're stuck at home so they're consuming media and taking a common painkilling medicine. would this snitchy person be as snotty about them reading books and taking paracetemol? (jk of course they would)

- Do you get the same effect reading alt text from a comment below an image as you do reading the alt text from the image itself?
- Do you even get to comments below images without alt text or do you just skip that post entirely?
