This really has been a perfect spring day. A walk. Flowers, fresh green leaves, blue, blue sky. A quick little shower. So many birds, bees. Fixed some things. Planted some things. Got messy, got clean. Mmmmm.
“Why is Mouse’s food in a box like that?”
Oh.

May, 2025 CT US. Spring still lovely with a side order of ominous.
Stopped in to Elizabeth Park in West Hartford CT, US to see the tulips on a truly glorious day. Park filled with strolling folks, babies, elders, dog walkers. Daffodils still going and lilacs just starting too.

Spent some happy hours at the chaos that is #Area51, my community garden plot. Learned where I stuck the last of the daffodil bulbs I ran out of time to plant. Got the peas in and started on the Big Weed.

When I’m feeling down, I just read Jane Jacobs. Change happens slowly, especially when you talk about the life of a city, but we know what we want, and what works. That’s half the battle right there. Keep fighting.
Holes dug. Shrubs planted, rocks moved, two more beds cleared and re-fitted the hanging planters with new coco liners. Enjoying the daffs (dead headed some). Dumped the planter soil into the veg beds. Cut down last years stems. Tea then back out for more. Some of the daffodils blooming now. More to come!
