My name is Kevin Ferguson; I'm an SF Bay Area author, writing a #memoir about health, aging and #winemaking. In short, how Grandma Kay made it to 100, while breaking the rules. πŸ“–

My dad passed away in early February.

Due to the pandemic, I wound up spending more time with my dad than in quite some time as he declined in health. That resulted in me uncovering a number of stories of his pre-fatherhood days I was surprised to learn. Perhaps some of you will enjoy them as well in this tribute I’ve written. πŸ˜€

My husband was given a bird feeder with camera for his birthday recently and it's proving very delightful...
@Helene ha! Yeah, perhaps. 😊
@Helene Ha! Feel free to share your takes on the crazy fictitious Sicilians at the White Lotus the more you get into the show. 😊
I have always been a big fan of this winery. Of the older ones that I'm sitting on, including the 1996 and 2001, I don't think this 2002 consistently matches them. And yet, I have had differing results. The bottle prior to this I had was a little lean, a little hard. This one is developed, complex and showing a lot of lead pencil. It is pretty beautiful. The last one didn't make me happy that I had a lot left. This one does.

A week ago, a friend asked me to join her at a wine dinner that very night. We bought our tickets only to realize that the dinner was going to be this week. Then, when it came to Friday night, the rain was coming down and the thought of snuggling on my couch and watching TV was more appealing. But I had made a commitment, so I went to dinner. And I am very happy I did because it was a wonderful meal pairing the food of Tesse Restaurant with the wines of Montecariano from Veneto, Italy. The pairings were so spot on that the Food and Wine Pairing Dinner at Tesse Restaurant is the Please The Palate pick of the week.

One from a few weeks ago that I have only just come across. It was taken shortly after sunrise in Glastonbury. That sky!
