@odr_k4tana @maxleibman I'd entertain the notion, as far as LLMs approximate the outputs of a conscious system, they may as well be. If we're mere biological machines with inputs and outputs, it seems only reasonable that this could eventually be fully equalled by electronic computers. Current AIs are a long way off sentience (which many may confuse with consciousness). Now, if we argue that this could never be, as animals have a special spark (soul/spirit etc), we're in religious territory.

@whitequark bonus quirk: the AWS Console will automatically switch to the default US East (N. Virginia) region if you have just used a Global tool (like Billing management) and then proceed to use a regional tool 👌

@nixCraft for run of the mill, high-level apps, it's gotta be PHP these days.

Composer install (framework, base list of packages + project specifics), bish bash bosh, half an hour later you're done, strict mode, fully typed, static analysis, 100% test coverage incl mutation testing.

It's the easiest programming lego, I've found, while other languages I still have to mess around with nuts and bolts.

@nixCraft I'm gonna say Microsoft for the sake of GitHub. If there were an alternate open-source, decentralised developer platform with feature parity, and everyone else also migrated to it, I'd be there in a flash 😂

Beyond PCI and industry specific regulations etc, it's a Wild West ðŸĪ  you can't legally shake your doormat in the street after 8am, but any chum with a magic picture box can roll out a Web app with more security holes than the punch cards it was written on ðŸĪŠ
