Being on Mastodon and Lemmy, though, has conditioned me to having to put forth more effort in my social media, so I mind less that I have to click so many buttons to get rid of junk on my YT feed.
@artemis No idea, but if you don't want to pay Incogni, you can just grab a list of the 20-30 biggest background check sites, go search up your own profile (and every single one has your info) and then put in a deletion request.
They have to honor your request to delete you out of your database.
Not a 100% fix, but it will go a long way to protecting your info, as anyone trying to find you will start with a search like that and probably lacks the patience to go through 30 different sites.

I just happened to do a search trying to find a way to lessen the amount of AI slop in my YT feed, found out there's not really any way to do it except using filters / rec options, and made a video about it.
This is nuts.
