Megacorp execs were interviewed about the #WGA strike & were quoted saying their goal was to "break the WGA," and to drag things out "until #union members start losing their apartments and homes"

After corporate counsel reminded the execs of *labor laws*, an update was released saying that actually the execs did not want to make workers homeless in retaliation for exercising labor rights because that would violate #labor laws so its all a big misunderstanding

Amazing to see #TheMimickingOfKnownSuccesses on this list and with such a fabulous review ⬇️
"The colony on Jupiter is perfectly drawn, and completely unlike any other interstellar story I can recall reading. I’m so delighted that this is just the start of a new series from Older! New readers will find themselves drawn in, and my fellow fans of The Centenal Cycle will be astonished by the breadth of Older’s range."

In some parts of Shropshire, it was said to be very lucky for a Black cat to follow a person or to voluntarily join a household. Indeed, a black cat was seen to be a sign of good times ahead.

Listening to @samitbasu talking about #writing and #procrastination:

"I am currently avoiding a novel, and avoiding it very well."

Words to live by. This man is an inspiration.

Only three of us at my writing group last night so we found and read some stuff me and another group member wrote when we were in our early teens (12-13). Extremely funny and actually I'm kinda impressed with how good we were doing considering

Katya gets shortchanged on #caturday pics because she's shy and doesn't do as many silly things to photograph but she is beauty, she is grace, she always has her paws perfectly in place

Pumpkin likes to sit at the table like a person and try to steal food. It's both adorable and infuriating. Not pictured is the adorable way his nose looks when he's sniffing for food which makes it hard to be mad until he snatches your halloumi. An upside of having to move back with my parents (who I love deeply don't get me wrong I just liked being an independent adult) is living with the cats again

Definitely not making the (admittedly ridiculous) target I set myself for writing this piece in 3 days. Brain feels like mush. Will I learn from this? Probably not

If you come upon a post with a hopeful and positive message about the world or our future, why don't you take a moment to consider these things before you post a negative comment about why people should be afraid and anxious:

What is my motivation? Why do I want to add negativity to this post?

Am I assuming people don't already understand the information I'm adding? Most people are well aware of the issues facing the world, having hope doesn't mean they are hiding their head in the sand, good things exist along with the bad.

Would this be better as a post sent from my own account?

Do I have any helpful solutions people can actually engage in, that they aren't already, or am I just being a Doomsayer?

I know it's scary out there right now, and it's easy to lean towards the negative. People without hope and joy have nothing to fight for. That doesn't mean they don't care, but no one should spend all their time in the darkness, we need light to thrive.
