Mx Jay BakerIt's fun to replace terms to expose the motivation for their use. So for example, replacing "cancel culture" with "consequences," or "political correctness" with "treating people with respect." Then the news starts to make sense: "Celebrity receives a standing ovation from crowd as they oppose consequences," "Our schools have gone too far on treating people with respect." In fact, there was a browser extension that actually did some of these replacements for us - does anyone remember? Brilliant!

BarryI know I am getting on a bit but when I was a young man #veganism was really straightforward and easily understood by vegans.
With it's growth there are endless debates on the likes of twitter and reddit with vegans discussing eating oysters and eggs.
Irrespective of the harm it causes to animals, what it does is dilute veganism to the point where non-vegans think it is about picking and choosing what products to eat. That's more dangerous because we end up with debates about wool and leather etc. It's then not hard to get to 'but cows need to be milked'.
Is eating oysters and honey that important to you?
z3zI came across the site Arda Maps yesterday, and I've got to dig into it.
It's a fairly massive online map of #MiddleEarth but it's open source and you can download data for #QGIS I haven't done this yet, so not sure what it'll look like, but I think I found my next project...
