@Mmelulu Hi - I’ve been wondering where you’ve got to - can’t find you on Bsky or threads, or even X. Hope you’re OK. If you’re just taking a break, fine - take as long as you need. But you are missed, you know. šŸ«‚
@Riotgrandma72 If you agree that #NHSCrisis will not be solved by more #NHSPrivatisation leading to an insurance-based system which would render the majority of us #uninsurable pls sign/share my petition and demand a fully tax-payer funded service #SOSNHS #ReviveTheNHs https://chng.it/zBBfzShwXk
Can you spare a minute to help this campaign?

UK Gov! Put an end to NHS privatisation. An insurance-based system is unworkable.

@Wrenjh Hello, and welcome to Mastodon! I’ve been on here quite a while - it’s a lot less toxic than Twitter, though pretty quiet. Might liven up if & when more people move here. By the way, I’m also on Threads (as Djofull17 - had to add the numbers because my original ID was already taken). I find it pretty good: friendly place to be. I think you need instagram to get threads. I had an instagram account anyway though I hardly ever used it - signing up to threads was easy.
āš ļø We are planning to release important security fixes for #Mastodon on July 6th, between 13:00 and 15:00 UTC. They will be available for the 4.1, 4.0 and 3.5 versions as well as a nightly release, to make the upgrade as small and painless for everyone as possible. Be ready to upgrade!

45,000 years ago, a Neanderthal man experienced a crushing blow to the head that left him partially paralyzed for life, but his bones healed and he lived into his 30s or 40s, something only conceivably possible with the help of his community.

45,000 years ago.

But let’s pretend that 45,000 years later, we ā€œcan’t affordā€ universal healthcare.

@Wrenjh Hello from Rick, one of your followers from the ā€˜birdcage’!
@BlokeOnWheels Yes, I agree. I’ve been on here for a while, but not very active. Twitter seems to be flaky and my impression is it’s getting worse. So trying to find people here I know in the birdcage. I’m sure you’ll be a good tutor for the pink one šŸ˜€

@gardeningwell Good idea! And a good video too. I have 3 compost heaps. There’s a fully rotted down one ready for garden use, another that’s almost completely rotted down and a ā€˜current’ one that I’m putting garden & kitchen waste on. All together I’d say they add up to 2 cubic meters: moving the heaps around is quite hard work, but I think it’s worth the effort.
If you want to do something to help the planet and yourself one very simple thing you can do is to make your own compost. If you get a compost bin, you literally throw in raw kitchen, waste and clippings from the garden, wait, and a few months later get free compost that’s it. No air miles. No plastics used no hassle no fuss. #ClimateAction #Compost
