Been working on building an old school Twitter style project, I used Discord to OAuth a basic login but I'm happy with how it all works!
I went to Lake District and was able to ride on a steam train for the first time, it was a peaceful experience and genuinely wish there were still more of them around.
Managed to revive my old bricked iPod (thanks Apple) and then managed to get RockBox ( https://www.rockbox.org ) functioning on it. I still want to tweak the themes a little but it was nice to sit and just listen to music for a change. ( All from Bandcamp, support those artists! )
Salem has now been with us for a couple of days and he’s completely settled around me.
We’ve been doing scent trading and distanced viewing and our dog loves him but Salem still curious about our dog (Border collie mix).
Overall, 10/10 cat so far, belly rubs and cuddling like a baby is fine with him!
I spent my weekend with a body that is feeling constantly exhausted. In lots of short bursts I watched short YouTube videos, short walks around home and then a bit of code.
Over the 3 days (UK Holiday) I put in 10 hours and from never using Godot or GDScript I learned enough to make the below.
- Enemies + Spawner
- Player + movement + sprint command with a cooldown,
- a small GUI
- learned about pathfinding and baking the area for the enemies to move.
