#strawberrymusicplayer ausprobiert, das stürzt nach ca 12000 von >20000 kopierten Songs ab. Synchronisiert auch nicht, sondern kopiert Dateien erneut, wenn schon auf dem Gerät.
#Rockbox frisst Batterie wie blöd und trotz iPod themes werde ich mit der Bedienung nicht warm.
Also hab ich mir eine Win10 netzwerklose VM gebastelt, #jellyfinmediaserver Mediathek read-only gemounted und lasse jetzt wieder #itunes die Arbeit machen.
Schade, nicht #dutgemacht.

s-olpicked up a used iPod Mini (2G) and put #rockbox on it in a quest for the simples audiobook mediaplayer for my grandma. I've already disabled all menu items except the tracklist, but I'll have to do a little (two-line) patch to remove the settings menu also. I'd like to also put a much larger font on it, but I'm not sure yet whether that's easy or possible

I knew that I had a mini USB cable stashed somewhere, but I had to rummage through a few boxes before I could find it.
Along the way I also found my old Sansa #mp3 player and charging cable. Unfortunately it looks like this one is too old and is unable to run #rockbox
The rubberized back is also pretty nasty but a little isopropyl alcohol should take care of it.

🐸 Anonymous FrogOkay! I opted for the Daily instead of Stable Build and finally got it on my device after several attempts. I found potential workaround for what to do if my windows rejects the device again. My latest MusicBee sync also came through as playable! Will take some time to think about putting podcasts on here, if at all, and learning more about the Rockbox config options : D

Yesterday, I installed an iFlash Solo SSD and new battery into my iPod Classic 6th Gen. The suggestion is to format to FAT32 in advance, but turns out that the iPod restore will do that automatically. I've been stuck in a cycle of my device either rejecting the format or saying my device needs to be repaired. I did at one point get Rockbox with @dook 's Themify theme going. I haven't gone as far as getting music that I synced from MusicBee to play yet, it just skips the tracks endlessly. I was surprised that MusicBee uses the iTunes API, so if I want to remove iTunes, I'll have to consider switching to foobar.
Ah, eg saknar å ha ein musikkspelar med #rockbox. Det var noko av det mest morosame eg har hatt å gjera med elektronikk. Eg hadde faktisk ein Iaudio X5, men han var harddiskbasert og gjorde til slutt slik harddiskar gjer av og til. Dersom nokon veit om ein rockbox-brukeleg dings som er å få her i gamle Noreg, så er eg interessert.
